Some of you asked for a closer look at the 1st birthday poster behind KB & his cake smashing antics. Well, here you go!
I assure you, I am not talented. I let my computer do all the work. Shhh don’t tell.
I used some of my favorite chalkboard fonts to make the poster and doodles. A little rearranging and my project was complete!
I made an “engineer print” at Kinko’s to make my 8×10 jpeg file into a giant poster for less than $5. Easy peasy!
Here are some of my favorite chalkboard fonts to use:
8. Appleberry
9. Frenchy
10. Eraser
11. Chalk Outline
12. JB Cursive
13. Grutch Shaded
14. MTF Heart Doodle
15. Lighthouse
16. Handy George
Do you have any must-use fonts?

This is so awesome and creative! I need to pin this for sure!
I love this! What program did you use to arrange the words?
Photoshop Elements 🙂
Thank you so much!! I was looking for something like this 🙂 I don’t have Photoshop Elements but I’m sure I can figure something out.
Thank you so much for posting this! Seriously so incredibly helpful!!!
Thanks for the great idea. I also was able to download a template from ppt to make the design.
Anyone think you could use word or something free for this? I don’t have ppt or photoshop 🙁
Yes!! You can also try Paint.net & PicMonkey.com which are free!
I just did a Low Country Boil invitation for my niece for her graduation. It came out AWESOME! Thank you and because of you I breezed right through it within a couple of hours, done!!!
Wish I could send it to you. Let me think….. Maybe email?
These are super fun! Stopping by from the Pin Party @ The Lean Green Bean!
Thank you so much for posting this! I saw the same idea and know Photoshop fairly well but just didn’t have time to gather all the info! This is perfect!! Thank you so much! Can’t wait to do it myself! Makes it even more special!
Thank you so much for posting this. I have a question. Which font provided the background ribbon at the top of the poster?
Bergamot Ornaments!
What size did you print the 8×10 with, I tried to take mine to staples to print 24×36 but it didn’t crop right in the preview and it said that the picture is low resolution, but its set to 300dpi
I did an “engineer print”. It’s not high res but it’s not pixelated either
oh mine is in color so I cant use the engineering print
Hi! I’m trying to do one of these for my daughter’s upcoming birthday. Did you resize the image to 8×10 and then get the engineer print or did you start working with it in the larger size? I’m trying to use my new fonts and I think I started out with too big of a size. I’m not used to using Photoshop haha!
Hi! Love your creativity and THANK YOU for sharing your favorite fonts. Do you do free-hand at all? I am wondering how to get better at it.
Thanks! I don’t do free-hand but it definitely impresses me!
