Fall Fun

by tinysneakers

I finally understand why there are so many fairs and festivals in the fall: families need something to do and the weather is beyond gorgeous.

I hate being cooped up in the house and so does the babe. He just loves to get out and about and explore his surroundings, so I’m constantly looking for ways to do that. The only problem is he’s a little young for most things: he wouldn’t still at a library reading, he couldn’t care less about a museum, he can’t run through a corn maze.

But he can touch pumpkins and hay and take in all the excitement of what’s going on around him.

This weekend we tackled a bunch of those things. It started with a pumpkin patch. {Ok, not so much a “patch”- more of a stand.} Have to have the obligatory pumpkin + baby pictures.

Followed by a walk through the park to get to the baby swings. This boy just loves his daddy.

It was too cold to stay long {go figure it was too hot the day before} but we had a blast none the less.

The next day I brought KB to the 3rd annual Touch a Truck event put on by the Junior League. I love, love, love Touch a Truck and I was so excited walking around pregnant last year that I’d be able to bring my own babe this year.

Well, he could’ve cared less. Oh well! It was still fun to bring him by and show him around after I finished volunteering. In a few years he will just LOVE it, I can tell. What boy doesn’t love big loud trucks?!

What fun things do you do with young kids?
