Baby Safe Sunscreen

by tinysneakers

I never worried about the quality of my sunscreen until I was pregnant. Before that, I just get cared that it kept me rom turning into lobster, since I burn at the first ray of sunshine striking my skin. Only when I became pregnant did I worry about what chemicals may be seeping into my skin.

I got even pickier when it came to putting scary chemicals directly on my baby’s skin. Last summer we used Babyganics, which was a good compromise between safety and price. This year so far weve been using a sample we were sent, Garden Goddess. Besides being organic, it rates a 1-2 on the EWG scale, a go in my book.

The baby version of this sunscreen goes on easily and doesnt have an overwhelming smell. It rubs in fairly easily, especially for a zinc oxide sunscreen. KB even plays a game where he wants me to put it on him. Weirdo.

The adult version is a spray which is nice because itsmhard to find those with zinc oxide in them. It sprays on white and is a little tough to rub in. It smells pretty good though.

The best part? One of you gets a bottle of your own. Leave a comment about your favorite summer activity to do with kiddos.

My son is 9 months old so this is our first summer together! We went to the park and he fell in LOVE with the baby swings. I can see our summer days filled by swinging at the park:)

While I don’t have my own kids yet, I have always enjoyed pool time with kids I’ve nannied for, and a pool is on the must have list in Florida when my husband and I venture into babyland!

I have a 9 month old and we took him boating for the first time this weekend – looking forward to many more boat rides this summer!

My 15 month old boy is hopefully going to love going to the pool this summer! My husband is a navy pilot so we just moved from VA to the middle of CA where it’s already 108 out!
