Baby SoS: 8 Weeks

by tinysneakers

8 week old baby

The unthinkable happened this week. I only pulled out my camera once. Blasphemy, I know. Maybe it has something to do with not wanting 1,203 pictures of you crying. But guess what? I was sneaky and managed to catch a few without those invisible tears of yours.

Your eyes are as bright and blue as ever. I’m starting to wonder if they may just stay that way…

You’ve always been our strong little mighty mouse but you’re taking things to a whole new level now. Grasping things with your hands is for the birds. You’ve moved on to bigger and better things like pretending to stand. Your legs and neck are so strong; you love trying to stand on our laps while we hold only your hands in front of you. If you could get the balance thing down a little better we’d be in trouble- you’d be running around on your on own!

big boy clothes for baby

You’ve busted out of your newborn clothes and are rocking the big boy style 3 month clothes now. The tiny little boy that I brought home at 5 lbs 9 oz is now a whopping 10 lbs. We’ll find out how tall you grew at your 2 month appointment this week.

“Hi guys!” I’m just chilling. Winking smile

That picture right there {actually, all of them} speaks volumes about how much you’ve changed in the past 2 weeks. We’re not out of the woods yet, but you’ve made such improvements in how you’re feeling. We made so many changes at once I’m not sure what to attribute it to just yet, but who cares- you’re getting better!

Now we just need to teach you how to sleep on your own…

You guys have been on my mind. So glad to hear the little man is improving. Trying to make the best, most informed decisions may be the most stressful part of parenting … that and sleep deprivation, of course!

So glad things are improving with your little dude. And sounds like they get a bit funner around the 2 month mark!

I cannot believe that he is already 8 weeks!

What a sweetie. And I do believe you have a True Blue-eyed boy…his eues aren’t that muddy-blue of all newborns. Watch out Ladies!
