Baby SoS: 7 Weeks

My little snuggle bug,

7 week old baby

You’re 7 weeks old! You spent the weekend with your Mimi and just loved it.

You’ve spent most of the week crying {so sad!}, so you haven’t had a chance to do much, but we did capture a few happy moments. You like the morning a lot better than the evening, much like your momma.

When you’re feeling a little better, you’re just as cute as can be. Ok, ok, you’re always just as cute as can be! You’re starting to see your toys and can hold on to them if we help you figure out you have a hand to grab them. Every once in awhile you let a tiny smile sneak out.

Though we’ve had our fair share of warm, almost spring-y days, we managed to get cold enough for a little snow at the beginning of the week. I’m glad you didn’t have to wait for your first snow. Next year you’ll like it a lot more when you can play it and throw snowballs at your daddy when he’s not looking.

Oh and apparently you hate pants. You managed to wiggle worm your way out of these while you were all swaddle up in the bouncer!

look ma, no pants!

You look awfully proud. You sneaky baby, you. Winking smile

We decided to hold off on your GI test for a little while. You seem to be doing a little bit better and we want to give the medicine a chance to work. We’re throwing every idea we have at you to make you better. We already know Mylicon and gripe water don’t do anything for you. Now we’re working on probiotics and an elimination diet {for mom, not you!<—more on that later}, and making sure we’re breastfeeding in the best way to help you {over active letdown & lactase overload can cause reflux symptoms}.  If things don’t continue to get better after your 2 month {!!} appointment this week, we’ll do the test.

Hang in there bug, we’ll get to the bottom of this!
