27 Weeks & Going by the Numbers

by tinysneakers

I’m in complete awe that it’s November. Not because I’m not ready for the cold temperatures or the upcoming holiday season, but because in my head, it goes like this:

November: breastfeeding class

December: childbirth class

January: baby {maybe}

What seemed like decades away a few months ago is now right around the corner.

27 weeks pregnant

What’s Up With Baby

I can’t believe people have told you that you’re going to be a bad parent because you don’t know the baby’s sex! People really are ridiculous. Do they realize how many people don’t find out the baby’s sex? YIKES!

I’m glad you’re not believing them…no belly pictures this week?

I added them 🙂 I was being lazy on Tuesday…

YAY! You look adorable!

19 TIMES TO PEE?! Oh my goodness woman! Maybe this is the body’s way of preparing mom to be up many times in a night taking care of baby – wouldn’t surprise me!

tinysneakers November 2, 2011 at 8:22 pm

I think nature should let mom sleep as much as possible before she has to get up to take care of a baby all the time. 😉

WOW. Have people actually said that to you about not knowing your babies sex? WTH is wrong with them?! I think it’s awesome that you’re able to hold out on knowing and that you don’t let their comments bother you. I get a lot of comments about my size but I just ignore it. I know my kid is healthy in there! Keep up the good work 🙂

tinysneakers November 2, 2011 at 8:23 pm

YES! It’s insane. The size thing is annoying too- what is it with people and saying whatever they feel like?

Kelly November 1, 2011 at 7:55 pm

Can’t believe you are already 27 weeks!! The next few months are going to fly by, especially with the holidays!!

Alison November 1, 2011 at 11:37 pm

A bad parent because you don’t know the sex?!? Wha?? So before ultrasounds, only bad parents existed…

I feel the same way about November being the “whoa this is for real” month. Except I’m a few weeks ahead of you so it’s even closer to being for real – eek!

tinysneakers November 2, 2011 at 8:25 pm

That’s exactly what I say- my mom never had an ultrasound and I like to think I turned out just fine, thankyouverymuch!

November’s definitely getting real for you- so exciting!

OMG 19 times to pee!?!? AHHHHHHHH!

i think i get up less now than i did a month or so ago! or maybe i just don’t remember anymore 🙂

YAY for 3rd tri!!

Jen November 2, 2011 at 12:17 pm

WHAT?! I cannot believe people think you’re a bad mom for not knowing the sex. In fact, I felt somewhat guilty for insisting to find out. People are weird.

Pregnancy is also so weird and different for everyone. I hate that you’re still battling nausea. And getting up to pee that much? You poor thing. I luckily have not gotten up to pee since the first tri. And now you hate me. 😉

tinysneakers November 2, 2011 at 8:27 pm

I’d only hate you if I didn’t already pee a lot before I was pregnant. 😉 It’s just 100 times worse now.

“Number of times I’ve been told I’ll be a bad mom because I don’t know the sex of my baby: 6”

WHHAT?? This needs its own post so we can rant more in your defense. That’s the most ridiculou thing I’ve ever heard!

tinysneakers November 2, 2011 at 8:29 pm

Hahaa I’ll work on that. 😉 Completely insane.

Kate November 4, 2011 at 4:23 am

I’m still nauseous sometimes at 23 weeks, and thinking I’ll end up having it on and off the whole time. At least I know how to manage it now, I guess! And I’m another in the “people told you you were a bad parent for not finding out the sex??” incredulous camp!

It’s going so fast- which is great. Since you’re a few weeks ahead of me, I know if your pregnancy’s going fast, mine must be too! Right?!
