KB: 11 Months

by tinysneakers

Wow. In 1 short week my little snugglebug will be 1 whopping year old.

Guess I better get to his 11 month update, huh? {silly virus and technical difficulties delaying me}

11 month baby

So here goes, a quick run down of my 11 month old baby:

Height: 25-27 inches {umm, yeah, really accurate measuring strategies going on here…}

Teeth: 2.5 {soooo close to those top 2}

Steps: 6! {we’re up to 8 now, but let’s pretend I wrote this at 11 months}

Naps: 1.5 {that second one is not so good. sometimes the 1st one is pretty crappy too.}

Clothing: 9-12 months, depending

Eating: 3 {giant} meals a day + 4 nursing sessions

Skills: stair climbing, waving, pointing, “sharing”.

Kabes LOVES to climb the stairs. Over and over and over. Still trying to figure out how to securely rig a baby gate when one side is a wall by a door, the other side is a railing, and neither of those things line up. At least he knows to stop before tumbling down…

His favorite things to do these days are walk around {and around and around} holding my finger or pants leg and pointing- at everything. He gets a kick out of “sharing” with us- especially food. And he gets pissed if you’re eating something different than he is.

After months and months of being absolutely scrupulous, I caved and ate something I didn’t know the ingredient list for. Rookie mistake, and KB paid for it big time. Poor guy. I felt just awful- like my lack of will power poisoned him. But he’s ok, I’m ok, it’s all good. Could be a lot worse than some pesky food allergies. The GI doc says he should still grow out of the allergic colitis, it’ll probably just be closer to 18 months to 3 years before that happens. On a good note, we successfully weaned him off his reflux meds!!

oh my golly please remind me how you got to 10-11 hours of sleep… we are still in wake up land over here 🙁

Anywayyyy….Kabes is so so so cute! I wished we lived closer, the boys would be so cute and fun together right now. X is the same wt/ht as Ky and he also loves climbing stairs – I know it would be too funny! Also, if you figure out the gate thing let me know, we live in a townhouse and all the openings are stairs and weirdo banisters. Nothing is working and it all gets returned -ha!

Oh my gosh they would have SO much fun together!!

I’ll let you know what I figure out for the gates. As for sleep- it’s not always uninterrupted, but it’s SO much better than it used to be. The biggest thing for us was night weaning {once I knew for SURE he wasn’t up because he was hungry}. Unfortunately that involved a lot of tears for us, but so did all the overtiredness and lack of sleep! Let me know if you want me to tell you more 😉
