Secret Project Unveiled
This morning’s breakfast was POWER OATS!! I was up early for PT, and I can’t always eat a lot super early in the morning. Instead of trying to cram in a huge bowl of oatmeal when my stomach wasn’t ready for it, I decided to make a small bowl that packed a big punch.
Power Oats
Oatmeal, water/hempmilk, Sunwarrior vanilla protein powder, and a huge scoop of chia seeds. Of course, I topped it with a spoonful of peanut butter.
Instead of eating it right away like I usually do, I let it sit for a little bit to let the chia seeds do their thing.
Mmm so thick!
Project Revealed!
As you might know, I recently launched my own nutrition business. What that process has taught me has been invaluable. One of the most important things I’ve learned is to be flexible.
Shortly after launching, it was time to put that lesson into practice. What I’ve learned the past few months is that people have a lot of questions. Questions about nutrition, diet, fitness, and health. It’s not that they don’t necessarily know the answers, but with the plethora of information out there, they don’t know what information to trust.
There is no way I can charge somebody to answer those questions and feel okay about it, but it became obvious that I needed to provide answers. I don’t mind answering individual questions, but as I answered more and more emails, I realized there’s probably other people out there with the same questions. Why don’t I just put the answers out there?!
My solution?
The Health Hoot: A website all things health, food, and fitness.
I realize I could potentially provide the information here on this blog, but I don’t think that’d be the most professional approach. I mean, I can’t really refer someone to a “resource” for nutrition and have them stumble upon a post exclaiming I have a maggot problem, now can I? 😉 On the other hand, it’s not going to be a boring, humdrum textbook approach either. Casual, but reliable.
I’d love for you to check it out– subscribe, give feedback, submit a contribution, and/or spread the word! A health website doesn’t help anybody if they don’t know about it. 😉
It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but it’s up, running, and I’m ready to get started- and I wanted to share it with you first!
Last but not least: Don’t forget to enter the raffle to win an Eye-Fi card, $100 Road Runner Sports gift card (can be used online!), and a Livestrong Nike Dri Fit jacket!! Tomorrow’s your last chance to win!!
