Workout Gear
Well guys, my time with adidas is coming to end this month. Sad for me because I’ve loved working with this brand and team. Good for you if you’re tired of hearing about it {but I hope you’re not}.
With the holidays around the corner I figured there was no better way to wrap this series up with a holiday gift guide of my absolute favorite pieces of fitness gear that I’ve come to love from adidas.
So without further adieu, here’s a sneak peak. You can read all about the pieces on adidas women’s training site.

1. Climawarm+ tights. 2. TechFit Climawarm Funnel Pullover. 3 .Springblades. 4. Shimmy Headbands. 5. Supernova Racer Bra.

Thank you adidas women’s training for the opportunity to work with you and learn all about this amazing brand!

Exercise
I can’t believe I’m about to actually write a post that even hints at “the holidays”. Already??
But since Halloween is so last week and I’ve been seeing light up penguins and snowflakes in the stores since August, I guess it’s time to admit they’re coming. It’s not just the holidays themselves that make this a tough season for diet and exercise, but the fact that it gets dark before you leave work and can be freezing cold.
<–obviously I had to include a Halloween pic
But what do we say about excuses? Stop them. Find a new way.
Here are a couple tips from my latest adidas women’s training post:
First things first.
Make exercise a priority and do it first thing in the morning. Yes, it’s cold and no one likes getting up earlier than they have to, but think about the alternatives down the road: overweight, out of shape, chronic disease. It’s not as much of a stretch as you’d think.

Do something small.
You don’t have to run an half Ironman to check off the day’s workout off your list. Do anything that gets you moving –anything!
Be prepared.
Dress for success in the chilly temps of winter. Some of my go-to’s are the Climawarm+ tights {with the softest lining ever} and the half-zip fleece pullover from adidas. So comfy and cozy, yet functional.

Pay for a class or membership.
Yes, I just told you to spend extra money during the holidays. But if you paid for it, won’t you feel bad skipping it?
Check out the adidas women’s training site for the rest of my holiday fitness tips!
Psst. if you’re looking for something to put on your wish list already, I highly suggest the adidas Springblades. I could certainly use the extra forward energy during the dreary winter. I’ll have more gift list ideas in my next adidas post…

Workout Gear
I beg and wish and hope for cooler weather and then when it comes I go in to complete shock and pull on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie and call it a day.
It’s a really hot look, I tell you.
I’m making a {slight} effort to keep things pulled together this year yet still be comfortable, especially because not only do I live in my workout gear, I’m actually seen in public wearing it.

Adidas’ cold weather gear fits the bill: you can look sporty instead of scrubby, yet still be just as comfortable.
It’s not quite cold enough for these yet but I love the fleece lining of these Climawarm+ tights. I can’t wait for the bitter cold morning runs that will require these pants.

The boyfriend-style Ultimate Crew Fleece Sweatshirt is even more comfortable than my hoodie and it has thumbholes, the greatest sportswear innovation of all time. Well, at least top 10.

How do you make it all happen: comfort, worth, and stay sporty when the temperatures start to drop?

Training
Now that it’s officially fall, the old “swim suit body” as motivation really goes out the window (not that I was a fan of it before). So now what? Let’s drop the outward motivation and instead focus on what makes us feel good.
This month I shared 7 things that make me feel powerful on the adidas women’s training site. Here’s a sneak peek:
- Look the part –> wear clothes that are comfortable, functional, and make you feel good about yourself. Love this RainShine jacket for chilly or drizzly mornings.

- Strength train. –> what’s the best way to feel strong? BE strong.

- Prepare for anything. –> you never know what the weather will be like, so be ready for whatever comes your way.

- Eat right. –> Put good stuff in; feel good inside and out. Easy peasy.
- Hydrate. –> Drink up!

- Try new things. –> hot yoga? Cross-fit? Spin? Kickboxing? Reach out of your comfort zone, you’ll be amazed at the boost it gives you.

Exercise
So this morning it was a glorious 65 degrees {at the crack of dawn, otherwise known as “party time” to my toddler}, but afternoon brought the 85+ degree heat that’s more in tune with this hot, humid summer we’ve been having. I love cool weather, but it’s frustrating when it quickly turns from refreshing to hot, especially when you’re trying to cram in some outdoor exercise. It’s so easy to use the unpredictable weather as an excuse for letting your workouts slide, especially as we adjust to the chaos of back to school and other fall happenings.
This month on the Adidas women’s training site I’m sharing my tips for staying on track when the seasons change.

Dressing for any kind of weather is key: I’m a fan of shorts with long sleeves, especially a jacket you can take off mid-run. I’ve been digging the Powerluxe woven shorts and their futuristic camo-y print. {Hey, camo is in this season!
}

The coordinating Powerluxe RainShine jacket is light yet protective. Obviously I love the hood and thumbholes.

I always forget how long I’ve been running in my current shoes, so I use the change in seasons as reminder to check my bank account and guess how many miles I’ve put on my shoes; I’m typically in need of a new pair by fall. I put a lot more miles on my shoes in the cooler weather, so started out with a fresh pair is crucial. I’m obsessed with these adidas Energy Boost shoes– they fit like a glove sock, and absorb a ton of impact, which is perfect for my injury-prone knee.
