A few weeks ago, my office our nursery looked like this:
{Don’t get me started on what it looked like before that.}
And now it looks completely different than both of those rooms.
Painting the Nursery
First came the paint swatches.
The chosen colors.
Then came the samples. {I highly, highly recommend this step.}
Those didn’t work. Back to the drawing board.
Over and over again.
Have I mentioned I’m not good with decisions?
And then came the paint.
We only took it back to Home Depot to get adjusted once- not bad considering my history. ![]()
Then came the fun part.
Measuring, taping, more painting.
Then finally, it was done.
From crazy, to office, to baby…
Now it’s officially a nursery.
With a desk in it…

I love it, Heather! We also have a striped wall in ours.
I loved striped walls!
Oooh – I like it! I like the stripes with the different-colored solid wall a lot! (Making notes for when I *hopefully someday* have a baby!)
Now for those ballet slippers hanging on the wall…are those yours? Or did we just get a hint about the sex of the baby???
Hahaa they’re mine- I put the samples up before I cleared out the room. I really don’t know the sex so I couldn’t give you a clue if I wanted to!
I love the stripes!!
Ohhh I LOVEEEE the colors and the stripes!!!!
PS. Why were there toe shoes hanging on the wall?
I put the samples up before I finished taking down the decorations from my office.
I love love the stripes!! Great job to you all!
Thanks!!
1) i have that desk!!! west elm, right?
2) i LOOOOOOVE the colors and the stripes. so my style!
3) i’m sad that we will be in an apartment so probably will not paint the baby’s room, since we’d just have to paint it back in a year!
1) Yes and it’s the best ever, isn’t it?! I want 10 of them.
2) Thanks!
3) Aww that stinks. But you can still do some awesome decorating! Maybe paint some big stretched canvases (or use fabric) and hang them up instead, that way they’re easy to take down and move with you?! I’m sure you’ll come up with something amazing!
Love it!
I love the colors you picked Heather! The room looks great
Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

I love your nursery colors. Could you tell me the name of them? I am looking to do the same thing.
