sounds like you could be talking about my son as a baby – ate like a champ, gained weight like a champ, but had quite a hard time with over-production of milk, and reflux to boot – with 1-2 hrs of sleep at a time at night. I told my doctor at the time I was concerned he was getting too much foremilk and the dr. downplayed it as me overthinking things – changed doctors soon after. But here’s why I’m writing – you are doing a great job, just get through one day (night) at a time, and things will get better. He outgrew the reflux, my milk adjusted to the amount he needed, and once I finally figured out how to stop feeding him every time he got up (which was much later, but that was my fault), he started sleeping. Hang in there. things will get so much better!

I just stumbled across you blog and started reading through your monthly updates. I’m only at the 8 month update (my son is 8 months old now!) and I swear I could have written all the previous monthly updates. You guy sounds EXACTLY like my little guy! From reflux and nursing every 2 hours to sleep issues, your thoughts on how much you’ll miss nursing, how you were sad when he wasn’t napping in your arms anymore…all exactly the same!! I can’t wait to keep reading more! 🙂
