My little half pint,
Where have the last 4 weeks gone?! The last few weeks of pregnancy flew by, but nothing like our first few weeks with you.
If you think your butt looks abnormally big in that picture, please don’t be self conscious. We started using cloth diapers this week! We’re still using a combination of cloth and disposable because a) we don’t have enough and b) even the smallest ones are still big on you.
You continue to amaze us with your strength- sitting up and looking at us for a minute and rolling from your belly to your side without even completely meaning to.
Your doctor wanted us to keep you on lock down for the first five weeks to let your premature immune system catch up, but we’ve ventured out a few times to hang out with your friends. You hung out with your new BFF Max who was born the day after you in the same hospital room, and we’ve seen your future girlfriend Hadley twice- she was born 3 days before you. You guys loved watching the Super Bowl together. By watching I mean crying, eating, and sleeping. You know, the norm.
This past week hasn’t been the easiest. Between gas, diaper rash, and who knows what other little baby mysteries you’re keeping from us, you’ve been a little cranky.
You spent most of the week looking like this:
It’s heartbreaking to listen to you cry, especially when we can tell you’re hurting. Sometimes I think you only stop crying because you’ve worn yourself out. For a baby that didn’t cry until his second day of life, you’re definitely making up for lost opportunities.
Of course, when we can get you calmed down, you’re pretty darn sweet and cute. ![]()

Awww he’s just so cute! And I love that first picture because it’s like he’s thinking “should I cry or not cry?” So precious
His decision was cry.
so precious! Cannot believe it’s been 4 weeks!
he is so so precious! I love the picture of him in that little blue stripped outfit
A.Dorable! Seriously makes me want another really bad. I also really enjoyed your birth story(s). Enjoy all the snuggle time you can. The months fly by, but each stage is equally as amazing if not more. My Squishy boy looked up at me yesterday and said, you are pretty mommy. I about died. Xoxxo
