Baby SoS: 3 Weeks

by tinysneakers

My little bug,

You’re 3 weeks old already!

3 week old baby

We’re getting used to being a family of three. It seems completely normal, like there was never anything different.

tummy time

You seem to have forgotten what you knew about sleeping. You don’t mind doing it during the day, but as soon as the sun starts to go down, you’re terrified you’re going to miss something super exciting if you close your eyes. You’re a little night owl- you love staying up past midnight. You definitely got that from your dad- mom thinks 10pm is l-a-t-e.

In one of our first big parenting decisions, we decided to let you try a pacifier. I realllly wanted to wait longer, but it’s just horrible watching you cry all night. If we let you suck on our finger you’re perfectly content, only you won’t let it go for hours on end. Not very practical…or sanitary. Dad was all for the pacifier so he went and bought you one and we let you try it. I don’t think you love it. Dad thinks you do. I pull it out when he’s not looking. He puts it back in. This should continue to be interesting. Winking smile

We took advantage of this crazy warm winter we’re having and made it outside for a few walks this past week. Mostly you love them; sometimes you like to let the neighborhood know you’re here by screaming the whole way home.

Mimi came to visit you again this week; you love grandmother snuggles. Smile

Time to enjoy your last week of officially being a newborn!

Hehe. I pressed comment thinking “aww, he’s so teeny and precious!” I guess there’s only one perfect word for it 🙂

I found your blog through spearmintbaby! Your little guy is darling and it was so fun to read your birth story! My husbands name is Kyler as well 🙂
