9 weeks is a looong time.
If, say, you’re planning a vacation.
When you’ve been waiting for a baby for 31 weeks, 9 suddenly seems pretty short. Especially if you say Christmas is in 4 weeks and baby day is 5 weeks after that. And technically, in just 6 weeks, I’ll be full term.
I’m excited and can’t wait for the day to get here- to know what day it’s going to be, to know what our baby looks like and acts like, to know what the baby’s name will be- when we find out if it’s a boy or girl. I also wouldn’t mind if time slowed down and let me enjoy these last few weeks, with all the secret kicks and rolls and hiccups happening in my belly. I’m going to miss those.
What’s Up With Baby
Baby is 3.3+ pounds and 16-18 inches long, but still has another 3 to 5 pounds of growing to do. According to Babycenter, we’re on our way to another growth spurt; that usually means bad news for me- my week of almost-nausea-freeness might be coming to end. We’ll see.
How I’m Feeling
Pretty good, knock on wood. The nausea has been minimal this week and tends to only rear it’s ugly head if I don’t eat the second I wake up. I’m mostly still comfortable, except when I sit up straight for long periods of time- then I get not so fun pains in my lower abdomen that don’t like to go away. I’ve pretty much taken up working while slouching in my comfy reading chair. I’m sure that’s doing wonders for my posture.
Sleep happens sometimes; I usually give up in the wee hours of the morning and just get up.
I’m happy to see baby takes after it’s momma with giant feet:
But baby, I’d realllly like for you to remove that foot from ribcage. Thanks.
Just for fun:

Cute cute cute! Where is that blue shirt from?
Also, just for my curiosity, have you been having Braxton Hicks contractions? And if so, when did they start for you!
Love ya!
Mmm I want to say Forever21… about a million years ago. And yes to the Braxton Hicks. They probably started a little after 20 weeks, but took me until maybe 24 weeks to figure out what they were.
They eased up for a few weeks and then came back.
WOW- I can’t believe you are 31 weeks already! You might have the cutest baby bump I’ve ever seen
You have the most beautiful baby bump! Can’t wait for more updates
