Shall We Shake?

It’s not often that I don’t wake up ready to dive right into breakfast, but when I do, a shake is the perfect answer.

You don’t have to think; you don’t have to cook. You just have to blend.

Vanilla Cherry Garcia Protein Shake

1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder {my fave is Sunwarrior}

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup frozen cherries

3/4+ c almond milk

cherry protein shake

Blend, shake, serve.

A shake’s not a bad way to sneak in some extra hydration either.

I'm almost always ready for food first thing - but sometimes the idea of actually cooking isnt as appealing. You're right though, that's where shakes come in handy! I love this cherry idea - watch out Ben & Jerry's!

Um, I now proclaim you SHAKE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE. Yum. I get excited when I think to throw cocoa powder in my standard banana, vanilla protein, spinach, and almond milk shakes.

I'm like you -- it's very rare that I don't want breakfast! But if that is the case then this looks like the perfect answer. Also, I love the fact that your smoothie only has 4 ingredients -- some of the ones around in blogland at the moment boggle my mind with their list of ingredients, and it just puts me off! (Yeah, I like my breakfasts to be fast!)

I always seem to be ravenous when I wake up, so it's usually straight to the oats for me. But if I can hold out, your pancakes look fantastic. I've noted them down as a lazy sunday breakfast idea!

i don't usually need to eat immediately when i wake up unless i sleep late or eat dinner really early. usually i eat about an hour and a half after i wake up...

I absolutely love smoothies (Green Monsters, all the way!) but rarely eat them as soon as I get up. I'm more of a breakfast at 10 am kind of person.

I am like that too. I always see people with awesome looking breakfasts on their blogs but I never feel like I have the time to make them because I am so hungry when I wake up.
