Sweatin’ in Style: Nike+ ID LunarGlides

Do you all remember when Nike Shox came out? They were pretty much the coolest things since sliced bread.

I thought I was hot stuff running in my awesome high-tech shoes.

And then I learned what horrible running shoes they were. *Hangs head in shame.*

It’s ok, they stopped making them with my favorite feature anyways. {The slid in sock tongue.}

I moved on to other shoes, but now that Nike has been coming out with the more minimalist type shoes like the Frees & the LunarGlides, I’m interested again.

I got the chance from Nike to design my own pair of the new Lunar Glide 4s. Seriously?! I can pick my own colors?! I’m always wishing I could pick my running shoes based on color instead of support, so this just rocks.

Thanks to Pinterest and Google Image search, it’s pretty easy to hunt down some great inspiration pics. I’m loving the mint craze lately.

But just mint is boring, so I kept searching.

Mint and coral or peach? Yes please!

But these are sneakers, so they needed slightly more kick.

Yellow. Perfect!

Time to get designing.

Of course when I saw the fade option I had to pick it. Had to. So the mint color went out the window, but I still pretty much stuck with the same color palette.

Since I’m the most indecisive person in the entire world, I turned to social media for some help choosing my final design and picking out a kick butt phrase to customize the tongues.

Go hard? Play hard? Run fast? Dig deep? Kick tail?
