It doesn’t look like I’ll be able to give an adequate assessment of whether the kinesio tape “works” or not:
To be fair, I might have pulled it off when I took my pants off. (Perhaps I shouldn’t say ‘took my pants off’ on the world wide web….) The bottom part is sticking well though, so who knows. The tape is pretty cool looking- it’s a bunch of alternating arches, and it really does stretch a lot!!
On to breakfast:
It seems any time I cook a grain for dinner, I think “mm that would taste good on oatmeal”. So I saved some of my latest grain cooking results- barley from the stuffed peppers- and tossed it on top of my oatmeal. Along with some chia seeds and peanut butter.

And now….. the Organic Chocolate Indulgence giveaway winner is…..
Matt!!!! Email me your address so you can get your hands on some chocolate & Greek yogurt goodies!
My favorite part of the contest was hearing what you learned about organics. Here are some of your comments:
- “Young children’s organs can’t detoxify as quickly and efficiently as adults, which is one reason it’s so important to feed kids organic dairy.”
- “The USDA seal means that a product has at least 95% organic ingredients”
- “Planting cover crops such as clover to add nutrients and organic matter to the soil and prevent weeds.”
- “they have Bio’s for cows on the farms they get their milk from!! I learned that Cocoa the cow (from the Franklin Family Farm) is a Jersey Heifer…” (I love this!!!!)
- “Organic farming is not only important as far as the food products go, but also that family farms provide our communities with beautiful, open spaces; rural character; fields and forests for wildlife; and local opportunities for business ownership, independence, and employment.”
- “Planting cover crops such as clover to add nutrients and organic matter to the soil and prevent weeds.”

I’ve been dying to try that tape. Did you tape yourself or did your PT? I haven’t done it myself because I’ve hear a professional who really knows how to do it should. But I’m interested in finding out if it works for you. I’ll try anything!
The athletic trainer at PT did it for me, but I think it’d be possible to do it yourself. I looked up a lot of videos on YouTube that were helpful before I found out she was going to do it for me. I’ll let you know how it works out
Congrats to Matt!
That quote has always been one of my favorites!
YAY! I am emailing you now!
Bummer – I was hoping I’d win!
Congrats, Matt!
Are you going to try the tape again?
Sorry! Maybe next time!
I think I’ll give it another try- too cool of an idea to give up so easily!
My one experience with Kinesio tape was much like yours. Mine lasted about 1/2 a day before it started to peel. I remember my foot and calf feeling very relaxed but thinking is it just my imagination or is this technique really working?
I always wonder the same things- is it ME or is it working? haha. I see people with it on all the time, there’s got to be a secret
definitely an amazing quote right there. and bummer about the tape. think it’s worth another try?
I think I’ll at least try once more– I really want to try the supportive kind though
congrats to Matt – although I was hoping for ME
heh – yes, you may now get more interesting search results, now that you have said ‘took my pants off’ on your blog…
I love that quote! Hope the tape is helping
